Admission Requirements in to FLENHIHBS

The Florence Nightingale Higher Institute of Health and Biomedical Science (FLENHIHBS) has a competitive admissions process to enroll the most dedicated and academically prepared students into our quality healthcare programs.

For our three-year diploma programs leading to qualifications such as State Registered Nurse (SRN), applicants must have a minimum of 2 A-Level papers, BACC, or a D diploma. All students must pass an entrance exam given by the Ministry of Public Health.

Our Bachelor’s programs affiliated with the University of Bamenda require either A-Level and BACC certificates or an HND in the relevant subject area. For Nursing and Medical Lab Sciences, students must have an HND in those fields. For Midwifery, an HND in Midwifery is required.

All applicants must submit academic transcripts, a medical certificate of fitness, a photocopy of their birth certificate and national ID, two passport photos, and a completed FLENHIHBS application with registration fees.

The registration fee is 12,000 CFA for diploma programs and 25,000 CFA for degree programs. All payments must be made into the school’s account at the Bayelle Cooperative Credit Union, account number 4237.

FLENHIHBS has a selective admission process to maintain program quality. Only the most qualified applicants who meet academic and health criteria will be admitted each term until seats are filled. FLENHIHBS offers diploma and degree programs to train skilled healthcare professionals. Students interested in applying to FLENHIHBS must meet the following admission requirements:

Diploma Programs (State Registered Nurse, Midwifery, Lab Tech, etc.)

• Minimum of 2 A-Level papers, BACC, or D diploma
• Pass entrance exam conducted by Ministry of Public Health
• Submit copies of academic transcripts
• Provide medical certificate of fitness
• Complete FLENHIHBS application form and pay registration fee

Bachelor’s Programs (BNS, BMLS, BMS)

• Certified copies of A-Level, BACC, or D certificate
• For BNS and BMLS – Certified copies of HND in relevant field
• For BMS – Certified copies of Midwifery HND
• Medical certificate of fitness
• Birth certificate photocopy
• 2 passport size photographs
• Complete FLENHIHBS application and pay registration fee

Nursing Assistant Certificate

• 10th or 12th standard qualification
• Pass selection interview
• Medical fitness certificate

All Applicants:

• Photocopy of national ID card
• Pay tuition fee deposit
