The Florence Nightingale Higher Institute of Health and Biomedical Science (FLENHIHBS) offers respected 2-3 year Higher National Diploma (HND) programs in key healthcare fields including Nursing, Midwifery, Medical Laboratory Science, and more.

HNDs provide theoretical education and extensive clinical experience to equip graduates with the competencies to begin professional practice in their chosen specialization.

Programs offered:

• State Registered Nurse HND – Gain essential nursing knowledge and over 1,200 hours of supervised clinical training to meet nursing licensure requirements.
• HND Midwifery – Learn to provide prenatal care, assist childbirth, care for mothers and newborns, and support breastfeeding through classroom learning and hands-on clinical placements.
• HND Medical Laboratory Technology – Develop skills in clinical analysis, lab procedures, instrumentation, and quality control with a focus on subfields like microbiology, hematology, biochemistry.
• HND Nutrition and Dietetics – Study nutrition science, healthy diets, food service, counseling, and community nutrition programs. Includes a dietetic internship.
• HND Pharmacy Technician – Prepare to effectively support licensed pharmacists in medication dispensing, supply, compounding, and more.
